Configurations

Five standard configurations. Each includes rack space, a power allocation (amps at 208 V on dual A+B feeds), a network port, a bandwidth allowance, an IPv4 /30, and an IPv6 /64. The 1U plan and dedicated-rack plans are unmetered at their port speed; quarter and half cabinets carry a 95th-percentile allowance. Prices are CAD per month, GST extra.

Network

Every configuration includes IP transit from Cogent and peering at the Calgary Internet Exchange (YYCIX). Traffic is delivered on a best-effort basis. The 1U plan and dedicated-rack plans are unmetered at their port speed; on quarter and half cabinets, bandwidth is measured at the 95th percentile against the allowance in your plan. The port speed is the interface rate, not a committed rate. Customers with their own ASN may announce prefixes over BGP at no charge, provided IRR objects and RPKI ROAs are in place before turn-up. Every configuration includes an IPv4 /30 and an IPv6 /64 at no charge; larger IPv4 assignments are available as a /29 (+$20/mo) or /28 (+$40/mo), and larger IPv6 allocations on request.

Facility

CalgaryDC operates from a carrier-neutral Calgary facility certified to SOC 2 (Type II). Shared-cabinet units are installed by our staff; quarter, half, and full cabinets are lockable and dedicated to a single customer. Fifteen minutes of remote hands are included each month, with additional time billed at $50 per fifteen minutes. Customer hardware is turned up within one to two business days of payment once it is on site. The street address and delivery instructions are provided with your order confirmation — we do not publish them or accept unannounced visitors. Contact [email protected] to arrange delivery or a supervised visit.

SOC 2 (Type II) certified

The facility is independently audited and certified to SOC 2 (Type II), covering the security and availability of the environment your equipment lives in. A copy of the report is available to customers under NDA on request.

Facility details

Questions

What are the payment terms?

Month-to-month service is billed three months in advance. A prepaid twelve-month term waives the first month. Prices are CAD; GST is added.

How soon is service live after I order?

One to two business days after payment, once your hardware is on site.

Where do I ship my hardware? Where is the facility?

In Calgary, Alberta. The facility is SOC 2 certified, so we do not publish the street address or accept unannounced visitors. The delivery address and receiving instructions are included with your order confirmation, and site visits are supervised and arranged through [email protected].

Is the facility SOC 2 certified?

Yes. The facility is certified to SOC 2 (Type II), independently audited against the security and availability trust services criteria. Customers may request a copy of the report under NDA. The published configurations themselves are delivered best-effort and carry no SLA credits.

What does the bandwidth figure mean?

Unmetered plans (the 1U at full 1 Gbps, and dedicated racks at full 10 Gbps) have no cap and no shaping — use the port flat out. Quarter and half cabinets carry a sustained allowance measured at the 95th percentile; the port speed is the interface rate.

Is the $99 plan really unmetered?

Yes. The 1U plan includes an unmetered 1 Gbps port — run it at full line rate around the clock. There is no 95th-percentile cap and no transfer quota.

Can I run BGP?

Yes, at no charge, with your own ASN. IRR route objects and RPKI ROAs must be in place before we accept announcements.

Is there an SLA?

The published configurations are delivered on a best-effort basis and do not carry SLA credits. If you need a contracted service level, write to [email protected] to discuss a custom arrangement.

Do you offer DDoS mitigation?

No. There is no mitigation product on these configurations.

What does remote hands cover?

Fifteen minutes per month are included for tasks such as power cycles, cable moves, and visual checks. Additional time is $50 per fifteen minutes.

Can I get more power?

Each configuration carries the amp allocation listed. If you need a higher feed on a dedicated rack, write to [email protected] and we will quote it.

How many IP addresses are included?

Every configuration includes an IPv4 /30 and an IPv6 /64 at no charge. Need more IPv4? A /29 is $20 per month and a /28 is $40 per month. Customers with their own address space may announce it over BGP.

Can I get a cross-connect to another carrier?

Yes. In-facility cross-connects to Arrow, Cogent, Hurricane Electric, Zayo, Astute, City of Calgary, Telus, and Shaw are $100 per month. Extended cross-connects to Bell and the Seattle Internet Exchange (SIX) are priced on request. A YYCIX port is a $500 one-time charge; YYCIX port allocation fees are between you and the exchange.
