Network

Every configuration includes IP transit from Cogent and peering at the Calgary Internet Exchange (YYCIX). Traffic is delivered on a best-effort basis. Bandwidth is measured at the 95th percentile against the allowance in your plan; the port speed is the interface rate, not a committed rate. Customers with their own ASN may announce prefixes over BGP at no charge, provided IRR objects and RPKI ROAs are in place before turn-up. IPv4 assignments are available as a /29 (+$20/mo) or /28 (+$40/mo). An additional 10 Gbps port is +$75/mo.

Questions

What are the payment terms?

Month-to-month service is billed three months in advance. A prepaid twelve-month term waives the first month. Prices are CAD; GST is added.

How soon is service live after I order?

One to two business days after payment, once your hardware is on site.

What does the bandwidth figure mean?

It is your sustained allowance, measured at the 95th percentile. The port speed is the interface rate. A 1 Gbps port with a 100 Mbps allowance can burst to the interface rate, but sustained use should stay within the allowance.

Can I run BGP?

Yes, at no charge, with your own ASN. IRR route objects and RPKI ROAs must be in place before we accept announcements.

Is there an SLA?

The published configurations are delivered on a best-effort basis and do not carry SLA credits. If you need a contracted service level, write to [email protected] to discuss a custom arrangement.

Do you offer DDoS mitigation?

No. There is no mitigation product on these configurations.

What does remote hands cover?

Fifteen minutes per month are included for tasks such as power cycles, cable moves, and visual checks. Additional time is $50 per fifteen minutes.

Can I get more power?

Dedicated racks can be upgraded from 15 A to 30 A at 208 V for an additional $400 per month. Shared-cabinet units are limited to the stated wattage.

How many IPv4 addresses are included?

A /29 is available for $20 per month and a /28 for $40 per month. Customers with their own address space may announce it over BGP.
